Towards a hybrid education in the face of the new normal.

The advancement of technology allows online education to represent a new opportunity to create, new teaching methods. Blended learning, also known as hybrid, blended or blended learning, is an instructional model that interested elements of face to face class and online learning.

There is still no certainty about when and what conditions the next school year will be returned in Mexico’s, however schools are already begun strategies to provide continuity and avoid interrupting the learning process.

From more than 10 years schools from various parts of the world began to adopt new forms of   teaching which gave rise to the hybrid model in education, is combined, that is, face to face, with classes on-line, creating flexible educational models according to the new times, which now takes on, more relevance, as a result of social distancing.

However, this proposal goes beyond simply using new technologies in education, it means taking advantage of the possibilities that internet access has opened up to give each student a more personalized experience according to their needs.

The pandemic accelerated the virtual school education  processes, the confinement is causing a change in education institutions due to the way in which face to face and virtual teaching systems are being conceived, the idea that education online was going one lane and face to face education another, now they are coming together to generate an hybrid model.

When the confinement for the pandemic ends, the return to the new normal with social distancing would mean a rediscovery of digital tools to incorporate Into the face to face system in both public and private schools. Hybrid school education must be understood as the following: combining teaching tools and resources of the face to face and virtual modalities which gives the students the freedom to decide when and where to study,   since the classes can be distance, face to face or mixed, and the study plans should be structured considering both schemes.

Hybrid education it's not about putting technology at the center of students attention on the contrary, the attention should be focused on students with the support of technology. We cannot fall into a very common mistake, of imposing a platform, since, if   the students don't have the ability to use that platform then instead of the platform adopting to the student, we make the student adapt to the platform, which it is incorrect since the stress is generated and there is no use, because not knowing how to use technology also causes  stress and the main objective,  which is learning, it’s not achieved.
